Christian "Big New York" de Mesones is a larger than life showman, bassist and the creator of “Big New York & the Smooth Jazz All-Stars”, a uniquely collaborative effort highlighting both the hottest smooth jazz musicians in the DMV as well as Billboard-charting guest artists. Ronald Jackson from smoothjazzride.com wrote, "Witnessing the extraordinary talents of Big New York was as astounding and moving as an earthquake!!!" Guests can always expect a very entertaining performance as Christian combines smooth, sophisticated grooves with flavors of old school R&B and Latin Jazz. This musical combination will be evident in the set lists, which will include hits from the All- Stars and crowd-pleasing covers. More about Christian "Big New York " Christian officially came on the smooth jazz scene in 2006, when his project; GROOVE SKOOL BAND received an invitation to perform at the Capital Jazz fest. Sharing the stage were new, upcoming artist such as Ragan Whiteside, Matt Marshak, and Ken Ford. GSB released "Limited Edition " in 2010 and the song ; "Latin Jive" became a top 10 most requested song on Radio.Radio.es. GSB went on to sell out their debut performance at Blues Alley and was also featured on a livestream Broadcast from the legendary SOB nightclub in NYC.

International recording artist and award-winning vocalist Nia Simmons returns to her Jazz roots for this one night only concert in beautiful, historic Alexandria, Virginia. She is a Howard University Music Department alumna and was an original member of the premier jazz vocal ensemble Afro Blue.
